5th Grade Homeroom Teacher
Teaches – Religion, Math, and Science
Jeannette Peterson grew up in southern Minnesota in the small town of Pine Island. She is a graduate of St. Catherine’s University in St. Paul, MN. She has been a parishioner at St. John’s since 1999 and working as a teacher at SJB since 2012. She finds it a privilege to be teaching here and believes that every child at SJB is a child of God and should be nurtured to grow academically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and physically.
While she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Todd, and her two teenagers, Vivian and Vincent. Her favorite activities are biking, hiking, reading, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.
5th Grade Social Studies and ELA
Mary Wraneschetz is a member of the 5th grade instructional team. As a native of Dubuque, Iowa, she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN. She has been teaching for 23 years, and 10 of those years have been spent at St. John’s. She and her husband, Steve, have two teenage daughters, Genevieve and Caroline, both of whom are graduates of St. John the Baptist. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with family, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
